Program overview

Analysts rarely use one tool. Data arrives in Excel, gets cleaned in Power Query, modeled in Power Pivot or Power BI, analysed with DAX and presented as a dashboard. This program teaches that chain in order, so each module builds on the last.

It combines the content of the Excel, Advanced Excel and Power BI courses with projects and career preparation from the Data Analytics course, so you do not need to join them separately.

Who this course is for

  • Beginners who want a single complete path into analytics
  • Graduates and career changers targeting analyst, MIS or reporting roles
  • Professionals who want one structured program instead of piecing courses together
  • Teams upskilling on Microsoft analytics tools

Prerequisites

  • Basic computer skills; no prior Excel or Power BI needed
  • A Windows PC is recommended (Power BI Desktop is Windows-only)

The learning journey

  2. Power Query & PivotModules 5-6
  3. Power BIModules 7-11

Learning methodology

Every concept is taught on a working file. You see the business question first - for example, "which regions missed target last quarter?" - and then build the formula, query or measure that answers it.

Each module closes with an exercise you complete yourself, followed by trainer feedback. Mistakes are part of the process: we cover the errors people actually hit, such as text-formatted numbers, broken lookups and wrong relationship direction.

Training files and practice datasets are provided so you can repeat every exercise after class.

Training format, batches and certification

Format. Instructor-led, practical sessions. Online, classroom and hybrid options are confirmed when you speak to us.

Batches. Upcoming batch dates are shared during counselling so you get current information. Ask for weekday, weekend or fast-track availability.

Certification. You receive a CharterPeak course completion certificate on completing the program and its assessments. This is not a Microsoft certification. If you want to prepare for a Microsoft exam such as PL-300, tell us and we will map the syllabus to the official skills outline.

Your trainers

Trainer names, backgrounds and areas taught are listed on our trainers page. Ask for a short demo class or a call with the trainer before you enrol.

Sample project: month-end reporting pack

You receive twelve monthly sales files in different layouts. In Power Query you standardise them into one table, load it to a Power BI model with product and region dimensions, write DAX for revenue, margin and prior-year comparison, and publish a three-page pack. The same business question is first solved in Excel so you can see where Power BI is the better tool.

Career applications

Skills help you qualify for these kinds of work. CharterPeak does not guarantee placement, salary or any specific career outcome.
