Excel + Power BI + Data Analytics
Our complete practical program: Excel, Power Query, Power Pivot, Power BI, DAX, dashboards, projects and analytics career preparation.
Explore the flagship program →Learn the analytics workflow businesses use - collect, clean, model, analyse, visualise and report - on the Microsoft tools most teams already have.
Data analytics is a process more than a tool: define the question, get and clean the data, analyse it, visualise the findings and recommend an action. This course teaches that process on Excel, Power Query and Power BI.
It is the broad pillar of our curriculum. If you want the complete beginner-to-project sequence in one place, see the flagship program; for a role-focused view, see the Data Analyst course.
We teach the tools listed above. We do not list SQL or Python as part of this course unless they appear in the curriculum below.
Pivots, statistics basics and variance analysis. Excel data analysis
Models, measures and exploratory analysis. Power BI analytics
Choosing charts and designing for decisions.
Reporting that supports repeated decisions. BI course
Retail sales analysis. Profitability by product, store and month.
Customer segmentation. Segment by value and behaviour.
Operational KPI dashboard. Service-level tracking.
The program is taught module by module. Each module ends with a hands-on exercise built on business-style data.
Every concept is taught on a working file. You see the business question first - for example, "which regions missed target last quarter?" - and then build the formula, query or measure that answers it.
Each module closes with an exercise you complete yourself, followed by trainer feedback. Mistakes are part of the process: we cover the errors people actually hit, such as text-formatted numbers, broken lookups and wrong relationship direction.
Training files and practice datasets are provided so you can repeat every exercise after class.
Format. Instructor-led, practical sessions. Online, classroom and hybrid options are confirmed when you speak to us.
Batches. Upcoming batch dates are shared during counselling so you get current information. Ask for weekday, weekend or fast-track availability.
Certification. You receive a CharterPeak course completion certificate on completing the program and its assessments. This is not a Microsoft certification. If you want to prepare for a Microsoft exam such as PL-300, tell us and we will map the syllabus to the official skills outline.
Trainer names, backgrounds and areas taught are listed on our trainers page. Ask for a short demo class or a call with the trainer before you enrol.
A request arrives: "Analyse our sales." We rewrite it into measurable questions - which products drive margin, which regions miss target and why - before opening any tool. Good analysis starts by narrowing the brief.
No. It is a practical data analytics course focused on business reporting and decision support, not machine learning.
The curriculum above is built on Excel, Power Query and Power BI. SQL and Python are not part of it.
There is overlap. Analysts tend to investigate questions; BI roles tend to build reporting systems. See the BI course.
Data analyst, business analyst, MIS analyst and BI developer roles. Outcomes depend on your effort and the job market; we do not guarantee placement.
Duration depends on the batch (weekday, weekend or fast-track). We confirm the schedule and total hours when you speak to us, so you get current information rather than a fixed number on a web page.
Students, graduates, working professionals and career changers. The prerequisites are listed on this page; if you are unsure, book a free counselling call and we will point you to the right starting course.
